Template: Get Total Rewards Platinum Status
Because Wyndham has purchased LaQuinta hotels, you have a temporary opportunity to get high-level elite status in the Wyndham, LaQuinta, and Casesar's Total Rewards program. Among other benefits, you'll be entitled to a free trip to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
How to get status with all three programs
Each program operates an "automatic" status match program.
- You'll need to start with medium to high level status with another hotel program. The easiest path is via the Amex Platinum card, or a hotel credit card, such as the IHG or Hilton cards.
- LaQuinta will match your status. If you send a copy of your electronic or physical elite status card to ccservicecenter@laquinta.com, they will typically match your status with a single business day.
- Once you have your upgraded LaQuinta status, Wyndham will automatically match it. Simply visit www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards/laquinta-returns/status-match], and enter your LaQuinta Returns Number. If your email information don't match, you'll need to call into the number provided and change the information on your La Quinta account.
- Once you've received your Wyndham Platinum status, Caesar's Total Rewards will automatically match it to their Platinum level. Simply visit www.caesars.com/total-rewards/tr-partners/wyndham_resorts, choose the "I'm a Wyndham Rewards member" option, and enter your Wyndham Rewards number.
- The most lucrative benefit of this strategy is a free vacation at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. Total Rewards Platinum members are entitled to a free 3-night stay at the Beach Towers, and up to 2 additional nights at a rate of only $65/night. If you travel during off-peak times, you'll get a "Atlantis Experience Pass" that provides access to several free activities and food and beverage benefits.
- Total Rewards Platinum members get access to a number of other benefits, such as complimentary valet and self-parking at their Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos, and a 10% discount on Norwegian cruises.
- Wyndham Platinum benefits include a preferred room, late check out, early check-in, and a points bonus. Wyndham Status Benefits

For you to get all the way to the eventual Total Rewards status, you'll need go get LaQuinta "Elite" status. La Quinta "Gold" status will wind up getting matched to Wyndham Gold status, which isn't high enough to get matched by Total Rewards.

For the next step, your name and email address will need to match the name and email address on your Wyndham account. So, if you already have a Wyndham account, use the existing information when you sign up for your LaQuinta account.
